(From 10.14.'08)Just three days after a federal judge returned the gray wolf to federal protection under the Endangered Species Act, this wolf was found shot in the head about 100 yards off the road in Gail Lake Township in Crow Wing County, Minnesota. The landowner called the TIP line to report the freshly killed timber wolf. Last weekUs action overturned a 2007 decision by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to "de-list" the wolves and turn their management over to state DNR officials. If anyone has information about this violation, contact the TIP line at (800) 652-9093.www.pineandlakes.com/stories/100808/news_20081008032.shtmlCrow County Image: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Map_of_Minnesota_highlighting_Crow_Wing_County.svg
